What more could a
parent ask for?"

this is for FAMILIES WHO want...

Something your kiddo can do from home — without driving them back and forth to lessons

You love the idea of skipping the commute and still giving your child access to structured, high-quality instruction that fits into your weekly rhythm while you fold laundry, answer emails, or take a breather in the other room

Your child to learn to play REAL songsnot just scales, theory, & “Hot Cross Buns"

You’re excited by the idea of your child learning music they recognize — pop hits, rock n' roll riffs, common folk songs — because you know that’s what will actually motivate them to keep playing.

Your child to feel confident & proud of their progress —
& light up when someone asks, “Can you play something for us?”

With step-by-step lessons, high-quality curriculum that's specifically designed for kids, & encouragement at every stage, your child will want to keep playing for years to come.

To give your child a community where they feel like they belong

Not just lessons, but a space and community where they feel seen, supported, and excited to show up each week. Because let’s be honest—the music matters, but it’s the people that keep them coming back.

Hi, I'm Katie Gettys, owner of

Mini Musicians Studio

Over the last five years, we have worked with over 1,700 kiddos in our online lessons and pride ourselves on the fact that our guitar lessons are about none of the pressure, and ALL of the fun. 🎉

We get to songs your students will LOVE as early as possible — we're talking songs by Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons — you name it! More of a Disney lover? Us too, let's do it!

It's so important to us that we teach in a way that students feel EXCITED about their progress and MOTIVATED to continue. We want them finishing every lesson, running to you (mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, etc.), saying "look what I learned!!"

What people are saying about MMS...

Of the dozens of many talented and engaging [online] teachers that my son has been fortunate to learn from this summer, [MMS] takes the highest marks...Fantastic class and great experience for my 10-year-old son! Thank you!

- Kristi L

What a fantastic class! ... did a great job of meeting the students where they were and being sensitive to their needs. It was such a success that we signed up for the next level immediately after this intro level class concluded.

- Kerin M.

My son has a learning disability and needs extra time to work on different music exercises. He is so excited to learn...and looks forward to class every week.

- Bobbie L.

- Valinda V.

Tailors each class to the student’s skill level, gives great feedback and suggestions and is super upbeat and encouraging. Both of my kids look forward to working with her each week!

- Jai P.

My son was a total beginner and he learned so much. We are doing the second level of this class now!

- Lillian M.

In 4 months, my children went from no experience to knowing tabs, chords, and even playing a few pop songs. If you're considering having your child start guitar, I highly, highly recommend [MMS]!

Do online lessons really work for kids?

Back to FAQs

Nope! Just a stable internet connection, a device with a camera and mic (laptop or desktop recommended), and your instrument. A quiet space and music stand are helpful, but we’ll guide you through any tech setup!

Do we need special equipment?

Your child gets 4 private 1:1 lessons, 4 small‑group classes, and access to our beginner guitar video course, plus simple practice plans and resources. It’s perfect for brand‑new beginners and any 8–14‑year‑old who is starting with Mini Musicians Studio for the first time.

What is included in the kickstarter?

Back to FAQs

The 30‑Day Guitar Kickstarter is $100 total for the full month, including 4 private lessons, 4 group classes, and access to our beginner video course. There are no hidden fees or long‑term commitments required.

After the Kickstarter, if your child loves it and you’d like to continue, you can roll into our regular weekly subscription lessons with our standard monthly tuition.

How much does it cost?

Back to FAQs

We always start with a short Parent Planning Call where we’ll talk through your child’s age, personality, experience level, and what you’re hoping guitar will add to their life, plus your family’s weekly schedule (homeschool blocks, sports, work hours, bedtime, etc.).

From there, we’ll look at our current openings together and recommend a teacher and lesson time that fits your week. You’ll be able to ask questions, hear which teacher might be the best fit for your learner, and then choose the option that feels right.

Once we’ve picked your teacher and time as a team, we’ll get everything booked and send you a clear recap so you know exactly what to expect on Day 1.

How do I find a time that works with my schedule?

When will our 1:1 lessons be?

Back to FAQs

During your Parent Planning Call, we’ll look at your family’s week and choose a recurring weekly lesson time that works for you (for example, Tuesdays at 4:00 pm). Your child will keep that same time and teacher for all 4 weeks of the Kickstarter, and if you decide to continue after the month, you’re welcome to stay in that same weekly spot as long as it works for your family.
